When my sister was visiting from Colorado, she needed a small repair to her RV. We went to Sturken. Steve took great care of my sister. He went to some trouble to come up with a replacement part, did a class job, kept us informed every step of the way, checked the RV out in terms of battery, etc., answered all her questions (she is a brand new RV owner), and had us on our way to King's Canyon within an hour. I am not easily impressed, but this was a pretty extraordinary customer service experience. Would definitely recommend them again.

Great service, honest, and as dependable as they come. What else can you ask for. After checking recent reviews I question anyone's intent to slander a business that never had any work performed.

Steve, Mike, and the rest of the crew are great. Being on the road with multiple RV components failing was distressing, Steve understood the situation we were in and quickly took care of our issues and got us back on the road safely and comfortably. His history with RV repair was essential in figuring out the many issues we had and was able to fix what he could, jury rig what he couldn't (timely) and explained everything in great detail for us to take care of when we get home.

I initially contacted this shop by email about my 2002 chev trail lite 22' RV. I asked if they could work on both the engine and the coach. Steve replied yes. I then asked if I could email him my list of items requiring attention and routine service work. Again he said yes. He replied that he would call me the following night which he did. We talked about my list and he was confident his shop could address all items. I brought my RV in the following day. Steve spent almost one hour with me reviewing my list while in the RV and just chatting in general. I will say that I just had a good feeling about him and his shop. At one point when Steve stepped away, I chatted with one of his service guys who seemed very proud to be working there. I left my RV for a few weeks while I was away. Steve kept me up to date on the work to be done and cost. I approved all work and picked up my RV on 7/8. The total bill, while within acceptable range of the estimate, was about 10-15% higher than I would have expected for the work that was done. Others have commented on the expense. Product quality, reliability and customer service are what one pays for. I cannot yet comment on quality and reliability since they are a function of time and not enough has passed. I can comment on customer service: professional, responsive, courteous and attentive to detail. All were exceptional. As a female, I never felt patronized. I had questions (related to the work they did as well as general operational ones) and he answered them respectfully and more than once, if necessary! Examples of their attention to detail include noticing and correcting (at cost): the coach door latch, the coach bed slides and that I have some LEDs installed. Upon leaving with my RV on the 8th, Steve said to feel free to contact him with any questions. I will take him up on that offer as the need arises.

We just picked up our 2013 VW TDI. We were referred to Sturken through a long time friend, and had them polish out a quarter panel from some surface scratches and repair and repaint our bumper from a major rock nick. Their estimate and final price were totally in line. Their work was excellent, and their shop was super clean and spacious! Steve and staff were awesome, friendly and very customer service oriented! They also do RV work which we will hopefully try out when the need arises. Keep up the great work Sturken! Jerry & Christine Molinaro

Moderate-sized Auto & RV repair shop located on Mabury Road near Berryessa, right along the 101 freeway. I brought my vehicle here for repairs after getting rear-ended, as they work with Mercury Insurance (as of 7/22/15, they are no longer a Mercury approved partner) & have so many positive reviews on Yelp :)Joan was my contact here, who was always professional, personable, and helpful, as well as upfront & honest with me. He communicated with me via phone and e-mail, and I also received automatic 'vehicle update' emails regarding the status of my vehicle's repair. I was also helped by Mike on a few occasions, who was also attentive & friendly.My car was finished on time and looks great. Sturken Auto Body will coordinate with your insurance company & try to make the entire process as hassle-free as possible. They also gave my car a basic wash & cleaned the interior prior to my pick-up, which was appreciated. Pricing seemed reasonable, although I'm not sure, as their estimate to make other repairs on my vehicle (unrelated to this accident) was double what I was quoted by another shop... Cost wasn't a big concern for us this time as we weren't paying, but it's definitely something to note. We decided against getting the additional repairs, but would've loved to have had everything fixed here, all at once, if their estimate had been within our budget.Overall, I still had a pleasant experience and would consider recommending this place to others. It would be even more convenient if they were open, even for a few hours, on the weekends for pickups/dropoffs.

I will pass them on to Joan.As far as the other estimate goes, any shop of the same caliber as ours [very few] that is doing the exact same work as we quoted, is going to be very similar in price. We would be glad to review their repairs and or estimate to compare it to what we quoted. That way we can both understand the exact differences. I can assure you that if we were 100% higher in cost than another shop they are not doing the same work. As with most service businesses there are a lot of ways to cut corners and reduce price but you get what you pay for.We were open for years on the weekends...until the customer traffic whittled down to almost zero. Then it was no longer practical to do so. However, we are always considering new service options.I really appreciate your honest input.Cheers,Steve Sturken and Staff

I don't usually write yelp reviews but I think the exceptional customer service received from this business deserves a review.Overall, this body shop well exceeded my expectations through great customer service. Joan, the fellow who took care of my car repairs, went above and beyond what was expected of the minimal amount of work that had to be done. I brought my car in to get repaired for a minor accident and Sturken was the body shop that was recommended to me through Mercury insurance. All that had to be done to my car was a minor fix up on my bumper. The results and extra service that went into the repairs were phenomenal. This was a well deserved review and a great thanks to Joan. I would definitely recommend Sturken Auto & RV Repair.

Over the years, I've worked with several of the RV shops in the Bay area, and I can attest that there are none who perfrorm the level of service of Sturken. This winter I undertook several enhancements to my motor home, and I can't speak highly enough of the craftmanship, the attention to details, and the overall excellence of this shop. It was well woorth the hour and a half drive to and from the shop, and I am so glad to know a place that cares about the final product as much as I do.For example, I had the latest Dometic 15,000 btu air conditioner installed last year at another shop. It required a new thermostat. Apparently, when it was installed, they crossed some of the heater wires, so when i turned on the heater, cold air came out of the ac unit. Problem solved by Sturken for a minimal charge.Anothe upgrade is I wanted a new convection microwave installed, and found one I liked at Best Buy. Upon removal of the old unit, Sturken discovered inadequate support for a spec microwave. No problem ultimately, as they constructed a mounting system that left the rest of the kitchen intact. Again, at a nominal charge.Since purchase, my retracting step was a bit wobbly when stepped on. Prior repairs added this piece of rebar or some screws, and never solved the problem. Sturken rebuilt the step, installed LED lighting, removed non-function wires, and now the step operates like new.For the bathroom, I wanted to replace the original plastic sink with a more modern stainless bowl and faucet, as well a green formica conter to match the rest of my kitchen, and several days later that was done, exactly to spec with extremely clean, nearly invisiable grout lines. There were a half dozen other repairs and upgrades that were done, and in every case, I gave Steve my request and he took detailed notes. He would then email me with status updates, photos, and options for meeting my needs or recommended solutions. I have never received a level of service quite like this, and can only say that he and his team met and exceeded my expectations in every regard.These folks care about the work they do, they all operate as a team, and have a great attitude about the vehicles they work on and the people they deal with. I am pleased to give them my business and appreciate their commitment to their work.

When I first moved to San Jose, I was really hesitant to find a new mechanic. A lot of people talk down to women and assume incompetence. Not Sturken! After much research, I came here to get my car looked at after diving to San Jose from Atlanta. They were friendly, thorough, and didn't upsell or overcharge me. They were great about explaining everything to me, and I felt like I was able to make informed decisions about my car. A couple of months ago my break light went out, and I brought it in. They fit me in last minute and fixed it for me free of charge! I can't recommend them enough!
