Do I need more than one estimate?

You are not required by law to get more than one estimate - period! By state law, it is your car and your choice on deciding where you get your vehicle repaired.

Regardless of who is paying for the repair we have learned that our clients just want their vehicles repaired properly and in a timely fashion. Why drive all over town and jump through hoops when it's not necessary? Just tell the other party involved that you want to go to Sturken's and we'll handle it from there. Remember our motto: making the best of a bad situation.


All of the estimates I got are different. Now, what do I do?

Repair estimates will vary because they are opinions from people. Every shop's method of repair, equipment, standards of repair and warranty is different. You need to decide what feels right. Where were you treated the best? Whose shop was the cleanest? What do their finished repairs look like? Are the shops rated well by their past clients? Will the shop be there in the future to handle any issues that may arise? Rest assured that you won't find nicer or more caring people than the staff at Sturken's. Generations of our clients have been returning to us for over 50 years!


How long will it take to repair my car?

That's a tough one to answer because it depends on many variables. But rest assured that we want you back in your car as fast as you do.

Sturken's has the resources, experience and know how to get the job done right and promptly. Our service writers will keep you informed every step of the way and they'll do their best to make sure that we go as fast as we can while making sure that the job is done right.


What kind of parts does your shop use?

If it is up to us we'll use original factory equipment (OEM) every time. But it is not our choice. Your insurance policy dictates the type of parts that are used. Some policies mandate Aftermarket Parts (AM) be used wherever possible. And unless you want to pay the difference or we can show the insurance company that the AM parts don't fit, we will have to follow the guidelines of your policy. We will explain this to you before we commence repairs. Either way you will have a choice and we will always explain the possible outcomes.
